Account Receivable/Collections Officer

About the Role:

Reporting to the Accounts Receivable & Payable Manager, the key responsibility of the role will be to work with a team and conduct high volume collections and end-to-end processing of Accounts Receivable. This is a full-time, permanent position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurate accounts receivable and customer record keeping
• Debt collection by communicating with customers via phone & email to recover overdue accounts 
• Generate reminder notices and collection letters
• Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities
• Investigate and resolve customer queries
• Ad hoc account receivable tasks

About You:

• Experience in high volume Collections role
• Previous experience in end-to-end accounts receivable
• Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to quickly identify discrepancies.
• Ability to manage conflicting priorities, meet deadlines, and exercise sound judgement under pressure
• Confident communication style (verbal and written) with the ability to liaise with diverse stakeholders at all levels
• Able to commit to a regular, full-time work schedule 
• Intermediate or Proficient application skills across the entire Microsoft Office Suite
• Works well within a team and assists in balancing work load
• Experience with accounting systems 
• Proven resilience and time management in day-to-day debt collection
• Ability to prioritize and take responsibility to meet conflicting deadlines under pressure
• Flexibility and ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes in a dynamic environment.
• High levels of initiative, curiosity, and display of a positive “can-do” attitude
• Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills
