Client Details

We are seeking an Accountant with experience in corporate tax and financial accounting in Australia on behalf of a mid-tier Chartered Accounting firm in Melbourne CBD.

1.5+ years of public practice experience in Australia is required.

The positions would be suitable for candidates who are newly qualified as a Chartered Accountant, Associate CA or who are currently studying CA program.

The firm is willing to support your career growth and encourages you to undertake CA program with various supports such as payment of fees, focus group sessions, study leave, and additional support for external training.

Description

The key responsibilities and duties of the role:

• Preparing income tax reconciliations, returns, and compliance for various entities.
• Generating financial reports for general and special purposes.
• Collaborating with senior staff and management.
• Building client relationships as part of a team.
• Developing tax technical skills in various areas.
• Performing other ad hoc duties as needed.
• Flexible work options available.

Profile

To be successful in this position you will need:

• Degrees in Accounting or Finance.
• Accounting experience in Australia.
• 1.5+ years of experience both in corporate tax (income tax reconciliations, income tax returns, BAS) and financial accounting in an Accounting firm in Australia.
• Willingness to work in a hands-on, team environment and to assist in providing proactive advice to our clients.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team
• Enthusiasm to continue to develop both technically and professionally
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
• Qualified CA/ACA desirable, or potentials who are studying CA
