The Company
An extremely successful chartered Accountants with long standing relationships with clients, an excellent reputation in the industry and a strong pipeline of both repeat and new business. They have a team of expertise that specialise in the business advisory, SMSF and superannuation, accounting, bookkeeping, taxation and auditing. Based in fortitude valley, they are in a prime location for public transport, cafe's, restaurants and shops. Due to organic growth, the business are looking to grow their team with another accountant with a minimum of three years experience to ensure they can hit the ground running.
The Role
Duties include:
- Prepare Business Activity Statements with an understanding of GST Free transactions
- Experience in completing the following types of Tax returns:
o Individual (Australian residents and non-residents)
o Trusts
o Company
o Partnerships
- Complete a Tax reconciliation workpaper explaining the difference in accounting profit/loss to taxation profit/loss
- Completed asset depreciation schedules
- Able to reconcile Goods and Services Tax in financial statements
- Able to complete a Franking Account in a Company Tax return
- Understand and able to complete Division 7A Loan Reconciliation workpaper
- Understand family trust distributions
- Understanding of how the reconcile and process the following provisions in financial statements
o Employee leave provisions,
o Income tax provisions for companies
o Superannuation liability for employees
- FBT Reimbursements calculations for motor vehicles
- Foreign currency conversation
- Completed Hire Purchase Loan schedules
- Understand Superannuation contributions deductible eligibility including:
o Concessional and non-concessional caps
o Prior unused superannuation caps
- Prepare rental property schedules
- Able to calculate capital Gains calculation on sale of property for individuals
- Able to calculate capital Gains calculation on sale of listed shares for individuals

What you need
- 3+ years' of professional accounting experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or equivalent experience
- Have enrolled or is looking to enrol in a CA/CPA
