Accountant

The accountant has an active role in the monthly reporting and analysis, ad hoc reporting, budgeting, forecasting and projections. Support the management in the provision of appropriate financial analysis aligned with the growth of the Company.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• ·       Managing the end-to-end process of all finance related functions including month & year-end process.
• ·       Perform all aspects of cashflow analysis and management.
• ·       Assist with budgeting and re-forecasting.
• ·       Preparation of Statutory reports including PAYG, Payroll tax, BAS and FBT
• ·       Manage and guide Accounts staff (AR) and Accounts Payable Officer (AP).
• ·       Develop and recommend financial policies and procedures to increase productivity and mitigate risk.
• ·       Ensure compliance with all accounting standards and regulations, including parent company requirements.
• ·       Prepare, review and distribute monthly financial reports to cash and carry centres and interstate branches.
• ·       Track expenses and revenues vs. budget and analyse fluctuations
• ·       Prepare monthly consolidation and executive reports for management’s review

QUALIFICATIONS:

• ·       Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or Economics required.
• ·       CA or CPA qualification would be an advantage.

Skills and Experience

• ·       Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel & Access)
• ·       Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects
• ·       Excellent Communication skills
• ·       Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects as well as strong follow through skills
• ·       Ability to complete projects timely and accurately critical
• ·       Must be detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
• ·       Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment
