Accounting Assistant (Part-Time)

We're looking for an Accounting Assistant to join our team on a  part-time basis, 3 days per week. 

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable and Receivable:

• Manage all vendor payments including processing invoices in XERO, preparing payments and liaising with creditors.
• Process Accounts Receivable transactions from multiple payment platforms such as FACTS, Stripe, Square, etc and assist with school billings.

Bank Reconciliation:

• Reconcile multiple bank accounts including saving account, loan and credit card accounts.

Payroll

• Process monthly payroll and manage employment related expenses such as superannuation, salary packaging and PAYG.

Financial Record-Keeping:

•  Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Ad-Hoc Finance and Administration

• Maintain multiple Finance email inbox
• Perform other ad-hoc finance and administration tasks as required.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of experience in finance/accounting/payroll
• Prior experience in school finance would be beneficial.
•  Proficiency in using Xero accounting software
• Proficiency in Microsoft suite
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision and as part of an effective team.
•  Capacity to manage workflow and prioritise with a proactive attitude.
• Sound analytical, problem solving and time management skills.
• Working With Children Check Clearance (WWCC)
