About the Opportunity
The Practice Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of two in-house accounting firms, providing guidance to a team of accountants and support staff, ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of accounting services to clients.
This role requires strong organisational and leadership skills to ensure efficient workflows and high-quality service delivery. The Practice Manager works closely with the accounting team, coordinating schedules, implementing policies, and maintaining client relationships.
The role requires a thorough understanding of Accounting Practices and procedures, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement accounting and office policies and procedures to optimise workflow efficiency.
- Coordinate and oversee daily operations, ensuring smooth functioning of the office.
- Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork among staff.
- Develop training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
- Schedule and assign work to ensure proper coverage and efficient use of resources.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing timely and accurate financial advice.
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients, addressing any concerns or issues, and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Stay up to date with accounting regulations and best practices.
- Manage the onboarding and integration of new hires.
- Identify opportunities for process automation and optimisation.
- Work closely with the accounting team to reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- 5+years experience preferably in an accounting or financial services environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office Suite.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
