BackSpace is a rapidly growing and innovative multi-disciplinary spine rehabilitation practice developed by medical specialists with 20 years of experience with spinal conditions and back pain. Our expert team include Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists, Massage Therapists, and Practice Nurses. They are supported by a group of specialists including Spine Surgeons, Pain Physicians, Occupational and Rehabilitation Specialists, and Musculoskeletal Radiologists.
Who we want:
We are seeking a business-minded Practice Manager whose primary roles will be to manage the running of the clinics and to assist the directors with strategic growth and expansion.
Selection criteria:
- tertiary qualifications in any of the health and biomedical sciences or business are desirable but not essential
- a minimum of two years’ experience managing a business in healthcare industry desirable but not essential with new graduates welcome
- a sound knowledge of Medicare and the Australian health insurance industry
- marketing and sales experience also desirable but not essential
- advanced understanding of IT software, especially Microsoft Office Suite
- multi-tasking and prioritising abilities
- excellent time management skills
- attention to detail and a superior command of the English language
- the ability to work in a team-based environment
- a professional and friendly phone manner
- advanced digital and personal communication skills
- a compassionate and caring nature
- impeccable personal presentation
Duties and Responsibilities:
- schedule, confirm and manage patient appointments for multiple allied health professionals
- ensure the appointment calendar is always optimized
- manage every clinic by facilitating patient and practitioner treatments
- take and direct telephone calls
- respond to online appointment requests
- liaise with practice nurse in dealing with medical queries
- supervise clinic administration assistants and students
- work with the medical directors, management staff and IT partners to develop and implement administrative and marketing activities that will grow the business
- liaise with practice allied health professionals
Position Details:
- start date is 27th May 2024 or sooner
- located at the Brisbane Private Hospital
- two weeks of formal training provided + ongoing onsite support
- full-time position (Mon to Fri)
- remuneration is in accordance with the Health Professionals & Support Services Award and dependent on relevant tertiary qualifications and prior experience
