An exciting opportunity has become available to join the team at Responsive Building, one of Queensland’s Premier Insurance Builders. This position is for a full time Accounts Assistant, working Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5.00pm.
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant that ideally has a working background within the insurance/construction industry, is highly motivated and has excellent attention to detail skills. As a successful applicant, you will have the chance to work in a friendly and supportive office environment and gain practical experience with a leading Insurance Building Service.
Responsibilities
- Accounts receivable and payable
- Data entry and syncing between client and job management systems
- Generating and uploading invoices
- Reconciliation of bank accounts
- Liaising with Bookkeeper and Accountant
- Answer phone calls, management/action of emails
- Liaise with customers, contractors, insurance companies, internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications/Skills
- Exceptional computer skills with previous Accounts experience
- Proficient in speed typing and Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook etc
- Experience with Xero a must
- Current Drivers Licence
- Insurance Industry knowledge/experience would be highly regarded
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment, work autonomously and within a team
