Accounts Assistant - Accounts Payable

A global fintech company providing a comprehensive operating system and payment platform for multiple retailers recently listed on Tel Aviv Stock Exchange and NASDAQ looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer. Our Australia office in Woolloomooloo only 10 minutes walking distance from station. We focused on providing solutions for the unattended point of sale industry, including such devices as vending machines, laundry machines, toll booths, coffee machines and much more.

About the Role

Due to the expansion of the finance team the Directors would now like to add to their already successful finance team with the addition of an experienced Accounts Officer (Accounts Payable) for Australia & New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the data records and related supplier account information maintained within Finance system. 
• Maintain regular communication with internal stakeholders including Operations team to ensure that supplier account balances are maintained within negotiated or agreed terms for contracted services. 
• Custom company specialised daily report prepare for Clients reimbursement payment.
• Ensure that all data entry and payment are accurate.
• Processing of invoices for payment.
• Expense claim processing.
• Delegate and manage account queries received via a shared email inbox to ensure questions are responded to within a timely manner. 
• Processing of invoices for payment.
• Perform other duties reasonably directed by the company.
• Ad hoc accounting and finance-related projects as needed.

Skills and experience

• 3+ years of accounting experience.
• Your career path has been through the accounts officer, Accounts Payable roles so that you have a solid understanding of transactional accounting and entries.
• Strong Intermediate Excel skills
• Accuracy and high attention to detail
• Understanding of suppliers reconciliation
• Knowledge of General Ledger Coding Principles
• Exposure to a high-volume processing environment
• Strong communicator who can interact in a positive manner across multiple stakeholders.
