Sustainable Salons rescue up to 95% of salon resources (from hair & beauty salons, pet groomers and dermal clinics) from landfill and donate 100% of proceeds from the sale of materials to local communities and charities. 

The position of Accounts Assistant  will entail carrying out accounting tasks to ensure effective, efficient and accurate operations across three Xero organisations.

This includes:

• Reconciling customer payments from direct debit facility, eCommerce platform and EFT in Salesforce and Xero and working closely with the Customer Success team on credit management.
• Reconciling supplier statements and preparing weekly supplier payment schedules.
• Reconciling bank accounts and other balance sheet accounts.
• Preparing monthly journals for prepayments or accruals where appropriate.
• Maintaining the corporate calendar to ensure compliance (e.g. ensuring the company is up to date with IAS, BAS, ASICS, Payroll tax lodgements).
• Preparing weekly reports on accounts receivable and payable for the Executive Leadership team.About The Perfect Candidate
• Experience working with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
• Professional, clear and personable communication skills 
• Experience with processing a similar volume (1500 invoices on a weekly basis) 
• High level of attention to detail — Can work quickly and accurately.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently 
• COVID-19 vaccination is required as on occasion employees may be required to attend venues where COVID-19 vaccinations are required.

Advantageous:

• In-depth XERO experience and strong skills in Excel/Google Sheets.
• Experience working with Salesforce
