Rock Ridge Farming is a privately owned, family-run farming company in search of an Accounts Officer to help manage all aspects of accounts within our business.
The successful applicant will have prior experience with coding for multiple entities and handling all elements of a company’s bookkeeping. The position will also require you to work closely with our in-house accountant on all transactional accounts and month-end reporting. In addition, the position will also require you to assist the current Payroll Officer with payroll on a regular schedule and provide payroll relief when they are absent. Experience with HR matters including Workcover and workplace health and safety is highly desirable. We are looking for someone with a ‘can-do’ attitude who is willing to work as part of a team and grow into the role.
Requirements include:
- Proficiency with MYOB and Xero,
- Experience with payroll and other HR related matters highly desirable,
- A willingness to assist with other, more general administration roles (such as Workcover claims, workplace health and safety, staff management etc.),
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills,
- Fluent English language skills with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong time management, including a sense of urgency, the ability to meet deadlines and the ability to manage multiple tasks,
- Excellent attention to detail,
- Flexible and willing to assist other team members.
About the role:
Based in our Tolga office, with the pay rate being negotiable dependent on experience. The position would start on a casual basis with an average of 38hrs per week Monday – Friday. Upon successful completion of a 3-month casual probation period, a permanent position will be offered.
