As a key member of the team responsible for supporting the day-to-day functions of financial operations you will be responsible for a variety of work.About the jobOur client is looking for an experienced Senior Finance Officer to become a key member of their team for a 6 month contract, working 2 days per week from home (once you understand the role) with the other 3 days per week in the office in the Brisbane CBD.The roleAs a key member of the team responsible for supporting the day-to-day functions of financial operations your keyaccountabilties will be:
- Prepare and submit data uploads to ensure timely and effective invoicing to customers.
- Provide informative, timely and quality advice to customers including invoices and customer accounts.
- Assist with the preparation of reports, submissions, briefs and correspondence.
- Assist with financial monitoring services to ensure accuracy and timeliness in preparing financial reporting and reconciliations.
- Liaise and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support financial management initiatives.
- Contribute to the review, development and implementation of financial practices and procedures to ensure they meet departmental and service delivery requirements.
- Assist with financial helpdesk support and advice to frontline officers and staff to resolve issues.
- Experience using applications, such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook.
- Relevant experience as a Finance Officer that has included experience with invoicing, customer queries and reporting.
- Knowledge and understanding of financial management practices and processes.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to stay focused on high-volume repetitive tasks.
- Ability to prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment.
- Preferably some experience with SAP ECC for payment management and reporting, although not mandatory.
