An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Officer to join McDonald Murholme, a boutique employment law practice, based in the Melbourne CBD.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Monitor aged receivables/settlement list daily and initiate collection procedures
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on collection matters and accounts payable matters
- Maintain accounts records and prepare reports for management
- Maintain disbursement accounts
- Generate invoices, itemised accounts and accounts statements
- Process credit card payment and prepare bank deposits
- Assist accountant/management with ad hoc tasks
- Monitor creditors accounts and process payments in timely manner
- Prepare bank deposit and reconciliations
- Monitor and maintain operational manuals and forms
Requirements and additional qualities:
- Good knowledge of Xero accounting software
- Professionalism and ability to maintain client confidentiality
- Computer literate with advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Organised with excellent time management and prioritisation skills
- Ability to receive instructions and work independently
- Experience with softphone systems
- Resilient, positive, and outgoing approach
- Ability and willingness to learn and be coached
- Adaptable and flexible
