The Role
We are currently searching for a dynamic and flexible Accounts Officer to join our Shared Services team in our Melbourne CBD Head Office. Reporting into the Shared Services Team Lead, the Accounts Officer will be responsible for processing payments, ensuring appropriate and timely allocation as well as improving customer experience.
This is a cross functional role with an immediate focus on Accounts Payable but with the long-term prospect of working across Accounts Receivables and Payable.
Key Responsibilities
- End to end Accounts Payable experience
- Processing a high volume of accounts payable invoices in SAP
- Ensuring three-way matching of invoices against Purchase Orders
- High volume verification of incoming supplier invoices via Readsoft
- Exposure to Vendor Master Management and Freight Invoice Processing
- Reconciliation of key supplier statements
- Process Domestic and FX Payment Runs
- Management of supplier enquiries
- Month end activities including SAP General Ledger accounts
- Maintaining compliance with internal controls
Skills & Experience
- Prior experience using SAP is essential for the successful candidate
- 3+ years experience working in accounts Payable
- Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
- Flexible and adaptable to work in a fast-paced environment
- Confident liaising with a variety of stakeholders across the Finance and broader business
- High attention to detail and effective problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated with the desire to continue learning and developing
