The Opportunity:
The Accounts Payable Officer will be responsible for end-to-end Accounts Payable processing of invoices to payment inclusive of resolution of queries and mailbox management. They will engage daily with internal and external stakeholders, includes month end duties, audit and reporting for IVECO Trucks Australia including branches. This role is a temporary assignment expected to finish at the end of December 2024.
Major Responsibilities:
- Full function Accounts Payable activities, including checking, verifying, and processing high volume of invoices through Readsoft/SAP
- Work within Readsoft/SAP AR3 & Pentana
- Payments AUD and all foreign currencies in AR3/Pentana
- Audit Requests
- Perform reconciliations and reporting of various accounts including weekly/monthly supplier and GRNI, AP Aging, FX reval, FX Hedge GIT Interco and Navistar, Payment Times Reporting, Readsoft Workflow Aging, Trending and Analysis
- Mailbox management and query resolution
- Statement reconciliations – Each QTR in line with GRNI and AP Aging Targets
- Business Project assistance
- Bank rec – Follow up on refund queries and allocation.
- Assist with End of Month (EOM) and End of Financial year activities.
- Other tasks as directed by the Accounts Payable Team Leader
Candidate requirements:
- Preferred minimum of 5 years’ experience Accounts Payable environment using a large ERP system such as SAP or Oracle also OCR exposure.
- Intermediate/advanced PC Skills especially Excel and Word – eg be able to use Pivot tables, sumif formulas etc.…
- Knowledge of Internal Controls SOX highly regarded
- ERP system such as SAP experience preferred
- Data entry speed and accuracy
- Ability to work quickly and accurately under tight deadlines with a sense of urgency
- Attention to detail
- Sound written and verbal communication skills
- Strong teamwork ethic
