The Brown Group is a dynamic group of companies, owned and managed by a local Broome Family. McCorry Brown Earthmoving has been operating for over 30 years and the Brown Group has been steadily growing and expanding its footprint through the Kimberley, Pilbara and Northern Territory.
We are seeking a full time Accounts Payable & Administration Officer to initially cover the maternity leave of our current Officer in this role but due to expected further growth, this role will be offered as a permanent fulltime contract.
Essential Skills:
- Compile all AP invoicing and match with purchase order/ dockets and ensure management approval prior to further processing
- Processing supplier invoices and preparing batches for payment in adherence to payment terms
- Recharges of interrelated companies and subcontractors as required
- Responding to supplier and internal enquiries in a timely and proficient manner
- Ensuring the compliance with applicable legislation (GST etc.) and internal procedures
- Competent with MYOB and Microsoft Office suite
- Efficient planning and organising of work to meet deadlines and provide quality service
- Friendly can-do attitude and team player
- You have demonstrated that you can build relationships with a variety of people from different professional backgrounds
Role Includes:
- Maintain complex Records and Filing Systems of Accounts Payable Vendors and other Financial Records including Purchase Orders and Invoices for retrieval or review by Management
- Assist with project billing and reconciliation for various entities
- Assist with Holcim reconciliations and billing
- Maintain and update the company’s fleet register
- Aid with Permit/Licensing management
- Assist with IT Support for various entities (external IT provider)
- Providing assistance to clients and visitors to the MBE Office, on general enquiries & ordering of materials
- Other Ad-hoc tasks delegated by management
