Associated Gaskets is looking for someone to join our team in our Accounts Department. This position will involve both Accounts Payable and Receivable work as well as Payroll.
Based in our Head Office in Revesby (Sydney), the successful applicant will join our Administration team and work closely with them as well as other team members across our various departments and locations. This role will report directly to our Administration Supervisor.

About the Position.
Hours
We envision this as a permanent, part-time position. Ideally working 5 days a week for 5 hours a day. We can be flexible with the precise hours worked though we do need them to fall between 8am and 5pm.
Responsibilities
- Correct allocation of payments to customer accounts and monitoring of any overdue accounts.
- Assist with processing weekly payroll via Micropay Meridian (including superannuation).
- Assisting employees across departments with payroll questions and queries.
- Making correct payments to various domestic vendors.
- Processing overseas payments in various currencies.
- Processing of credits and/or refunds to customers as required.
- Assisting other departments with accounts queries.
- Managing the Accounts email inbox for a range of queries.
- Balance sheet accounts reconciliation and other ad-hoc tasks and projects as they arise.
What You Need.
In addition to possessing confidence in their ability to satisfy the responsibilities listed above, the successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following skills:
- Have at least 2 years experience in an accounts role.
- Have attained tertiary qualification (a diploma or greater is preferred) in a related field.
- Confidence with basic accounting principles and tasks including AP / AR / Payroll management
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Have excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
- Have good knowledge of MS Word/Excel/Outlook
- Experience using online banking tools to perform banking transactions
- Have a history of being highly trustworthy and capable of handling sensitive information in a discrete manner.
