Accounts Payable Officer - 2 Days Per Week

Experienced Accounts Payable Officer required 2 to 3 days per week or approx 20 hours per week to manage the day to day accounts for a rapidly growing organisation group. The role will be based in Tingalpa just 2 minutes from the Gateway Motorway with off street parking available and public transport a short walk away. You will be required to work closely with the business owners and partners (accountants).

The first is a family operated and privately owned childcare centre which specializes in Kindergarten and preschool programs designed for children aged 3 to 5. The centre offers a high quality of care from birth to 5yrs of age with enrichment programs that are pinnacle to early development. The second is Queensland’s largest indoor play centre which offers adventures for the young and the young at heart. The indoor playground has activities that challenge your mind, your strength and your nerve. With so many activities on offer for the little ones burn off all that energy, parents or their carers can choice to participate or relax with a coffee from the café or enjoy a meal at the licensed restaurant.

The role:

The responsibilities of this role will include:

• End to end Accounts Payable processing
• Reconcile vendor accounts and liaise directly with suppliers 
• Raise invoices and credit notes
• Assist with employee expense claims
• Generate reports and batch payments
• Liaise directly with Accountants

The Applicant:

• At least 2 years of experience in AP role.
• Understanding of GST and the difference in Expenses and Assets
• Proficient knowledge of Xero.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to manage time and tasks as required.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of the team.

Candidates with experience with Hubdoc and Xero will be viewed favourably, although not a requirement.
