Accounts Payable Officer

The Role

We are looking to appoint an Accounts Payable Officer to join our busy team based in Yatala. 

Reporting to the Financial Accountant, this role will perform a variety of accounting and clerical duties to ensure that Accounts Payable transactions are processed efficiently, the supplier master file is maintained and that supplier statements are reconciled.

Key responsibilities for this position include:

• Process invoices, payment of accounts, reconcile supplier statements and AP Ledgers and process credit applications
• Process requests for the creation of new suppliers and ensure that the supplier master file is accurately maintained
• Assist with general finance tasks including data entry, report preparation, journals & EOM tasks
• Assist with maintaining the finance system, including records of payments, invoices, contractor / client payment details, and other relevant information
• Other duties as required

The Ideal Candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of Accounts Payables and maintaining general ledgers
• Intermediate - Advanced MS Office skills
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
• Excellent oral and written communication
• Customer focused
