Your opportunity
As Accounts Payable Officer you will provide a range of financial services and provide sound advice on practices and procedures to facilitate the timely and accurate processing of services that meet legislative requirements and that achieve effective customer relationships.
This dynamic, fast paced role will see you Support the Accounts Payable Supervisor and other members of the Financial Services Team to meet deadlines, and contribute to the continuous improvement of services.
Guided by our Values, you will:
- Process non order invoices, reconciliation of financial transactions, administer the cheque / Electronic Funds Transfer run process, and update financial transactions to the ledgers on a daily basis.
- Resolve basic and complex Accounts Payable enquiries to internal and external clients.
- Process and match documentation in hardcopy and electronic forms to facilitate accurate and timely payment of suppliers to all departments of Council.

- Has an understanding of an Accounts Payable environment.

- Has excellent time management skills, with a high attention to detail to work effectively under pressure for competing priorities and meeting deadlines.
