About the Role
Reporting to the Assistant Accountant, your primary responsibility will be for the day-to-day Accounts Payable function including the entering of invoices, reconciliations and maintaining effective relationships between sites and other stakeholders. You will be required to ensure the accurate and timely payment of suppliers and respond to supplier queries. With previous experience in a similar role, you will have excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail and an understanding of basic accounting principles.
Key responsibilities include:
End to End Accounts payable processing including reconciliations in adherence to group policy, procedures and deadlines to ensure the accurate and timely payment of creditors.
Work with the operations team to ensure invoices, variations match to purchase orders
Managing expense claims including the follow-up on documentation & the approvals through to the payment stage
Weekly/Fortnightly/Monthly payment runs in line with the process structure and time frame
Follow-up and completion of approvals process and pending receipts
Ability to work collaboratively with the Assistant Accountant/team to support accounts receivable & any other administrative duties
Assist with Administration functions within the business including arranging freight and maintaining office supplies

Experience working within a fast paced Accounts Payable environment to meet critical business deadlines
High attention to detail, accuracy, and strong analytical ability
Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment with minimum supervision, demonstrating initiative for priority setting, goal achievement and time management
Intermediate Excel skills and strong data entry skills
Excellent communication skills
Strong time management and organisational skills
Experience in a job costing environment would be beneficial
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a successful team
