We have an opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join our Ashurst Service Central (ASC) - Finance team in Brisbane.
As a complex global organisation, ASC is key in how we run our operations, plan for the future and determine our strategy. This is a global function of 170 professionals, all working closely together, but with a range of specialist expertise, including: reporting, financial systems, costs, partnership tax, account payable, accounts receivable, billing, central registry, credit control, e-billing and client rates, financial systems support, procurement, revenue management, and working capital management.
Some of your main responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
Monitoring input of legal professional costs and costs posted to general ledger
Ensuring the daily financial operations work effectively and smoothly supporting the broader business
Reviewing & maintaining financial policies, including (but not limited to): Corporate Card, overtime expenses, third party disbursements
Coordinating implementation and monitoring of Purchase Order system

About You:
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following:
At least 5 years of relevant experience in a finance role, coupled with a minimum of 2 years of legal matter accounting experience within a law firm
Experience working within a global team
Working knowledge of Elite 3e or document management systems
Knowledge of ANZ Global Transactive banking system or other online banking payable products
Exposure to Expense Management System
Strong understanding of company Chart of Accounts

Salary package will be competitive yet commensurate to experience and ability, and in the range of $70,000 - $80,000.
