Job Description Summary

We are looking for a skilled Accounts Payable Officer to be responsible for processing all invoices received for payment and for undertaking the payment of all creditors in an accurate, efficient and timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Perform invoice and general ledger data entry
• Perform credit card and bank account reconciliation
• Process invoices, verify financial data for use in maintaining Accounts Payable records 
• Maintain meticulous records of outstanding payables
• Ensure the accuracy of financial documents for payment, auditing and tax purposes 
• Protect businesses against unintentional overpayment 
• Practice effective monitoring to ensure payments are made to vendors in a timely manner 
• Clarify any questionable invoice items and prices
• Assemble and review invoices to be completed for payment
• File invoices once paid
• Send remittance advices via email to suppliers.
• Adhoc accounts tasks as requested by your manager.

Preferred skills and experience

• Prior experience in a similar Accounts Payable position
• Understanding of basic principles of finance, accounting, and bookkeeping 
• Excellent time management skills and attention to detail 
• Experience with ERP system Navision or similar is an advantage
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in English and in MS Office
