Accounts Payable Officer

Mangrove Housing is a Community Housing provider and a registered charity that offers individually tailored services and supports to over 1,200 people in need each year. We have been assisting South East Queensland communities find affordable housing through the delivery of homes and person-centred support services for over 28 years.

The Role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role works within a friendly and supportive team of multi-skilled staff.  As Accounts Payable Officer you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day entry and payment of supplier invoices and updating of the work order database.

This role will be 20-25 hours per week with flexible working arrangements in place. Additional hours may be required during busy periods or to cover other Accounts Payable staff on leave.

This is a permanent, part-time position based at our Wynnum Head Office however travel between offices may be required from time to time.

Key accountabilities:

• Full Accounts Payable function including fortnightly vendor payment runs, including issue of remittance advice and supplier statement reconciliations.
• Accurate coding of supplier invoices.
• Ensure invoices are approved per organisational policies. 
• Updating of the work order database.
• Management of the Accounts Payable mailbox and timely response to correspondence with suppliers and organisational stakeholders.
• Other general duties and assistance with related projects as directed by the Finance Manager.

About You

2 years minimum experience as an Accounts Payable Officer or similar role is essential. Practical experience working with MYOB or a similar system is a must. Chintaro experience would also be highly desirable.

$36.34 per hour depending upon experience.
