Accounts Payable Officer

Finlay is one of Australia's largest suppliers of mobile screening, crushing and mineral washing equipment.  We are currently looking to fill the role of Accounts Payable Officer at our Head Office based at Burpengary . Our office is fast paced so you need to be a dedicated, enthusiastic team player who can communicate and work accurately in a busy environment. 

This position has direct responsibility for the accurate and timely processing of all invoices of goods and services received by the business, and the timely payment of these invoices to the nominated bank account of the vendor. Our ideal applicant will have 5+ years of hands-on experience with an end-to-end payment process and have used an ERP system, ideally SAP B1, and the MS Office suite. This position is an immediate start.

Skills and attributes required for this position include:

• High standard of communication skills, strong attention to detail and highly organised.
• High level of data entry accuracy.
• Demonstrated ability to work well autonomously and as part of a team.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in running ACCOUNTS PAYABLE using a full ERP system for a medium to large business.
• Proven computer literacy.
• Ability to work in a busy environment and meet deadlines.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not be limited to:

• Manage ACCOUNTS PAYABLE processes including invoice processing, coding, data entry and payment.
• Monthly reconciling of individual Account Payable accounts to supplier statements, including Foreign currency creditors.
• Ensuring all discrepancies are promptly resolved.
• Written and verbal communication with suppliers where required.
• Vendor maintenance including loading of new vendors, their payment terms and ensuring that creditors details are kept up to date. 
• Scheduling and setting up of payments using ABA files, Electronic funds transfers and BPay.
• Preparation of bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Process general journals as required.
• Assisting with the answering of overflow administration work and phone calls.
