About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Finance Manager, and working in a small supportive Finance team, the Accounts Payable Officer provides financial and administrative support essential for a robust and compliant finance system. The position is responsible and accountable for preparing, processing, and maintaining Creditor records and ensuring Creditor payments are made accurately and on time. This position also supports Accounts Receivable responsibilities.
Based at Emerald, this is a full-time position however flexible work options are negotiable with the successful applicant.
Duties will include, but not limited to:
- Maintain creditor master file records
- Validate and process creditor invoices
- Reconcile creditor statements & investigate anomalies
- Support all aspects of the accounts receivable system
About You
This position would suit a person with extensive experience working in an Accounts Payable function within a small to medium sized organisation.
You will be an effective communicator both verbally and written, with strong computer literacy skills. You will have excellent time management and timetabling skills with a formidable eye for detail.
In addition, you will have:
- Familiarity in regulatory and bookkeeping standards and procedures
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft office, finance and payroll systems e.g., Netsuite
- Previous experience working in government, not-for-profit and/or tourism sectors looked upon favourably
