The Opportunity
As Australia's leading owner, operator and manager of many retirement communities across the country, our vision is to provide retirees with the most innovative senior living options, delivered with integrity. Reporting to Group Accounts Manager, you'll work closely with internal stakeholders to provide accounting support to a variety of internal teams. You'll have experience with accounting software packages and have a high attention to detail and accuracy. This position is based in our Aveo Newstead Office, close to public transport options.
This opportunity is a fixed-term six-month contract until the end of September 2024, with the possibility of extension depending on business needs.

You will:
- Ensure accurate input into the correct legal entities, ensure all invoices have appropriate approvals and comply with the Delegation of Authority
- Demonstrate the ability to identify potential issues relating to day-to-day activities
- Prepare weekly or ad-hoc Eft and Bpay payment runs
- Show initiative in problem-solving
- Assist team members with workload and queries
- Assist and support Group Accounts Manager with implementations and new processes
What you'll bring:
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar AP position
- Competent user of TechOne or similar large accounting software package
- Very high level of attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Exposure to 'branch' accounting (preferable)
