Accounts Payable Officer

Juniper is currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Officer to join our team. The Accounts Payable Officer will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Accounts Payable function, including processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and handling payment queries. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Accounts Payable, excellent organisational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities of this role:

• Process invoices accurately and in a timely manner
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies
• Handle payment queries from suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Monitor and manage the use of the "One Time Vendor" Account
• Maintain a manageable number of Preferred Vendors
• Uphold the accuracy of supplier information in alignment with company policies
• Collaborate with the Finance team to ensure smooth processing of payments
• Assist in month-end closing activities related to Accounts Payable
• Provide support for audits and compliance checks as needed

The Skills, Knowledge and Experience required:

• Previous experience in an Accounts Payable role, preferably within the Aged Care sector
• Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., Epicore) and MS Office applications
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to problem-solve and handle complex payment issues

Qualifications:

• Formal qualification in Accounting / Business Studies (Certificate 3 or 4 upwards) *desirable
• Minimum of 2-3 years of solid experience in high-volume processing within Accounts Payable
