Accounts Payable Officer (Maternity Cover)

An opportunity has become available for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join our friendly, close-knit team in West Perth in a 9-month maternity leave cover role, with a start date of 8 April 2024.

Emerald Resources is an ASX-listed gold producer with mining operations and exploration projects in Cambodia and Western Australia.

The Role:

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Accounts Payable Officer administers the Accounts Payable function for the projects in Western Australia and the West Perth head office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Distribute invoices for approval and coding;
• Enter invoices into the accounting system (Pronto);
• Coordinate and process payment runs;
• Reconcile supplier accounts and resolve queries or discrepancies;
• Monitor and action items in accounts inbox;
• Set up new supplier accounts; and
• Filing and general accounts administration.

Requirements:

• Previous Accounts Payable experience (Pronto experience preferred but not essential);
• Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word; 
• Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines;
• Attention to detail; and
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
