Our client is a mining organisation with a head office in Brisbane CBD, where the finance team are based. The Accounts Officer role is part of the Shared Services function, working alongside two other Accounts Officers (responsible for payables and receivables) and two Payroll Officers.
The Role
This Accounts Payable Officer opening is a permanent, full time role, responsible for full function, high volume Accounts Payable and support of the Accounts Receivable and end of month processes. The ideal candidate must be experienced and able to pick up new systems and business processes quickly.
The role will be based out of the Brisbane CBD head office, Monday - Friday.
- Processing Accounts Payable invoices;
- Resolving supplier enquiries;
- Liaising with site regarding purchase orders;
- Supplier statement reconciliations;
- Reconciling & Receipting funds received;
- Ownership of debtor ledgers and balances;
- Ensure bank balances to the general ledger; and
- Daily bank reconciliations.
The Candidate
- High volume Accounts Payable experience;
- Eager to take on or learn the receivables and month end functions;
- Experience using a large accounting systems such as Oracle, SAP, TechOne;
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and written;
- Proactive, team-oriented and energetic attitude; and
- Unrestricted, full time permanent working rights.
