Harcher Central West formally known as Westco Distributors is a family owned business established in the 1960’s specializing in the sale of Wholesale Confectionery, Snacks, Soft drinks, Packaging and Cleaning Supplies. Our business is looking for a professional and innovative Accounts Payable Officer with a passion for excellence to join our office in Bathurst, New South Wales.
We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join our team! You should be able to work autonomously, using your organisational skills to manage your office space and your time, as you will collaborate with clients and colleagues in a fast-paced environment. You should also have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Duties for the role include, but are not limited to:
- Check accuracy of Accounts Payable Invoices
- Input and code invoices to correct cost centres
- Audit invoices against purchase orders, analyse and resolve discrepancies and approve for payment
- Reconciling general ledger accounts with various registers
- Reconciling Bank Accounts
- Monitoring Accounts Payable and receivable to ensure supplier and customer payments are up to date
- Match creditor invoices to purchase orders
- Verify and process employee expense claims and manage the approval and payment process of claims
- Update and maintain vendor database
- Reconciliations of supplier statements, credit cards, and other accounts as required
- Support the end of month process
- Other tasks as required
Whilst we will provide on-the-job training regarding our processes and understanding our business, it is our expectation that you have solid experience in the skill set consistent with a role of this nature.
Previous experience in a similar role will be highly regarded.
