About the roles
We are currently seeking experienced administration professionals to join our Corporate Shared Services team in the following positions:
- Accounts Payable Officer (Non-ongoing DHA 3)
- Senior Accounts Payable Officer (Ongoing, DHA 4)
Accounts Payable Officer Responsibilities
- Processing Accounts Payable transactions for corporate and housing related invoices.
- Book official business travel.
- Administer leased fleet vehicles.
- Handle and redirecting facilities and reception queries.
Senior Accounts Payable Officer Responsibilities
- Manage complex cases unresolved by Accounts Payable Officer.
- Employ advanced troubleshooting techniques to diagnose and resolve issues.
- Provide training to new staff and act as an escalation point for stakeholder issues.
About your team
The Chief Financial Officer's Group is responsible for the delivery of fiscal management services across the organisation. Key responsibilities of the group include taxation, commercial finance, corporate accounting, capital planning, valuations, investment management, risk management and treasury. We are also accountable for the organisation’s strategic property portfolio.
Skills required
For Accounts Payable Officer:
- Excellent written and oral communicate skill, including grammar and business writing.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage competing priorities.
- Learn and adapt in a changing environment.
- Ability to interpret and follow policies, guidelines and procedures.
- Strong relationships and network building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
For Senior Accounts Payable Officer:
- Ability to manage and resolve complex cases and queries.
- Administer compliant processing of transactions and provide the necessary explanations.
- Support Corporate Shared Services functions with accurately and timeframes.
- Coach and train less experienced staff on processes and procedures.
- Maintain and update the CSS intranet pages and communicate updates to internal and external stakeholders.
- Support Team Leader in setting team priorities to minimise errors.
- Ensure the accuracy of documentation and minimise errors.

Order of Merit
Any merit pools established from this merit-based process will be valid for 18 months from the date of advertising. This merit pool may be used throughout this period to fill similar positions in the event positions become vacant.
