THE OPPORTUNITY
Tableland Veterinary Service is seeking a new Accounts Receivable Officer to join our team. Our accounts team are based at our Malanda clinic, though after initial training this role could work from any of our main clinics, with some work-from-home available as well. The day-to-day role is to provide administrative support to the farm and equine veterinary team for preparation of client records and invoices, and to the customer care team regarding client payment, invoicing, banking and account matters.
THE DAY TO DAY ROLE
The accounts team support our customer care and clinical teams to keep the administrative aspect of our work running smoothly. Although primarily a back-office position, there is an expectation that they will be able to provide support for some customer service duties, including answering phones and serving clients at our reception desk.
The day to day role involves computer based work using our main software program – VetLinkSQL. You will be interpreting clinical histories from our farm vets and converting into client invoices, along with contacting clients to arrange special product orders or booking revisit consultations.
The role also provides support to our reception teams and clients in setting up third party payment options, including VetPay and Zip Pay. You will also be assisting with end of day and end of month procedures including banking, processing client payments and sending of invoices and monthly statements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Preparing invoices for farm calls
• Process new account applications
• Managing overdue debtors
• Processing client payments and reconciling third party payments
• Preparing end of month closure and statement run
• Attend to customer enquiries about account matters

Our clinics are located in Malanda, Atherton and Ravenshoe on the Atherton Tableland, along with clinics in Charters Towers, Edmonton, Cooktown, Innisfail and Weipa. THE POSITION DETAILS
• Permanent part time position
• 3 to 4 days per week (approximately 24-32 hours per week)
• Pay range - $28 to $32 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
• Hybrid role - work from any of our main clinics with opportunity to do some work from home
