Due to growth, they are looking for an experiencedAccounts Receivable Officer to join their team. The successful candidate will be working in the Gold Coast office.
The Role
The Accounts Officer will play a crucial role in managing the Accounts Receivable and payable functions of the company. They will ensure accurate and timely invoicing, collections, and reconciliation of accounts to maintain the financial health of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate, prepare and process accurate and timely invoices to customers
- Monitor accounts to ensure timely collection of payments
- Debt collection calls
- Follow up on outstanding invoices and resolve any billing discrepancies
- Perform daily cash management duties, including the recording of bank deposits, updating and distribution of cash receipt logs, and posting of cash to the Accounts Receivable sub-ledger
- Obtaining information from other departments to ensure records are accurate and complete and that Accounts Receivable ledgers and journals are up to date
- Working with the collections department to review accounts, client payments, credit history, and develop new or better repayment terms
- Performing administrative and clerical tasks, such as data entry, preparing invoices, sending bill reminders, filing paperwork, and contacting clients to discuss their accounts
- Generating reports and statements
- Wisepay, EzyDebit, ConnectWise & Xero software
Qualifications:
- Diploma/Certificate of Accounting or Bookkeeping is highly desirable
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role
- Hands-on experience with Xero and Microsoft Excel
- Preferred experience using Creditor Watch and
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively
