ABOUT THE PRACTICE:
Floreat Medical is a well-established and respected general practice clinic in the western suburbs with coffee shops and ample parking nearby. We have adapted to COVID-19 and feel we have a safe and welcoming environment which incorporates high hygiene standards, social distancing and careful screening of patients coming to the practice. Our doors have been opened to provide quality care for our community since 2001.
We are seeking an experienced Admin Assistant/Medical Receptionist who will be a suitable candidate to work at our busy, 17 doctor practice. We are looking for someone who will make this a career opportunity for themselves.
This is a part time position between 22-32 hours a week and the successful candidate must have flexibility to work extra shifts, cover sick and annual leave.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
- FRONT DESK: Greet patients, organise appointments, manage appointment bookings, arrive patients, inform of delays, answer telephone calls promptly, liaise with patients and staff efficiently, manage income phone calls.
- CORRESPONDENCE: Manage daily incoming and outgoing mail, email and faxes.
- RECORD KEEPING: Update patient details, manage administration software, maintain confidential record keeping.
- FINANCIAL: Issue invoices and receipts, process daily payments, Eftpos knowledge, cash handling, reconcile daily banking process.
- OHS: Consistently be aware of OHS requirements and compliance.
- GENERAL DUTIES: Photocopying, routine cleaning and stocking tasks, ensure reception area is well managed.
- Admin duties, projects or tasks as directed by the Operations Manager.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
ESSENTIAL
- Moderate knowledge of computer programs.
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a medical receptionist.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
DESIRABLE
- Knowledge of Best Practice software.
- CPR
