Government department tasked with making life easier, accessible, and equitable for thousands of individuals and families across Australia. Currently seeking a talented administration professional to join their busy team for a temporary assignment until end of December 2024.
About the role:
As Admin Officer / Receptionist, you will provide procedural, clerical, administrative support and operational tasks including some basic research and analysis activities. In addition, you will:
- Provide counter/reception support for the local office including enquiries in the self-help kiosks and online support.
- Resolve customer enquiries, providing information and/or referring customers to appropriate government or community services.
- Manage the team shared email inbox, appointments and telephone enquiries.
- Coordinate appointments with the use of Agency office facilities and ensuring facilities are accessible for clients.
- Prepare associated reports and correspondence.
- Undertake a range of data entry activities and ensuring follow up is completed.
- Receive and record complaints and other feedback in the business system
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience in administration and/or customer service
- Background in government or healthcare is a plus!
- Intermediate to advanced IT skills and competent in Microsoft Outlook.
- Great eye for detail and have a high level of accuracy in your work.
- Great team player who can work autonomously
- Excellent interpersonal skills as you will be dealing with customers over the phone, and work with internal stakeholders
- Immediate start pending Federal Police Check
- Temporary Casual Assignment until end of December 2024
- Full time hours, Monday to Friday
