Role Overview
In this role of Administration, Accounts & Bookkeeperyou will be responsible for supporting our operational, finance, and administrative functions, managing daily accounts tasks, processing payroll, supporting operational activities, and ensuring the smooth running of our office environment.
This role is a full time position (Monday to Friday) based at our Head Office in Tanah Merah on Brisbane's Southside.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Managing the daily docket process in consultation with Directors
- Onboarding new vendors including their inductions and ensuring compliance with company policies
- Completing the weekly payroll process from end to end
- Process staff leave applications in consultation with Directors
- Manage and own accounts payable/receivable processes
- Research potential grants and Indigenous programs for potential opportunities
- Order and maintain inventory for office stationery and supplies
- Schedule meetings, events, and manage travel arrangements for staff as required
- Maintain customer database
- Maintain both electronic and hardcopy employee records
- Prepare regular financial reports and presentation as required
- Complete and manage all expense reports
- Provide general office support including distributing mail, answering calls, and handling queries
About You
- Commitment to engage and align with our company values of Integrity, Honesty, and Quality
- Minimum of 2 years demonstrated experience in bookkeeping and accounts payable/receivable
- Minimum of 2 years demonstrated experience in processing payroll for a small business
- Knowledge of the Building & Construction General On-Site Award payroll requirements (desirable)
- Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
- Strong organisational and multi-tasking abilities
- Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Proficiency in accounting software, and MS Office Suite
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team essential
