For over 40-years, Materials Handling has been a leader in providing solutions for manual handling, safety and lifting activities.  We boast an incredible range of products – from trolleys to conveyors to wheelie-bin lifters and everything in between - and our diversity and long-standing reputation is what has made us so successful.

For a small, family-owned business, we do a lot of great things for companies in our industry.  Our head office and internal sales team is located in Sumner Park, Queensland, with external sales teams in Victoria and New South Wales.  We operate Monday to Friday and perform sales duties Australia wide. 

For this particular role, you'll be based in our Brisbane office.  We already have a great accountant (who has been in the role for many years), but as the company grows they require some assistance.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities

The position of Administration and Accounts Assistant will primarily involve a number of accounts and reception duties, including, accounts receivable, administration, goods inward, accounts reconciliation and invoicing.

Other duties to be performed include:

  • Invoice Checking
  • Data Entry
  • General Office Assistance
  • Filing and Archiving
  • Banking and Mailing

As well as carrying out other administrative duties as required.

Skills and Experience Requirements

It is ideal that the perfect candidate will have experience in Accounts Receivable/Payable, Accounts Administration or any similar roles as outlined in the required Job Tasks and Responsibilities.  If you can bring something new to our team, please let us know.

Of course it is expected that the successful applicant will be extremely competent with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and have an above average understanding of computing systems.
