The Administration and Private Practice Manager will oversee the administrative operations of the hospital's consulting suites, reception, medical records, and outpatient services. This role is critical in ensuring that all aspects of the hospital’s Administration and practice management are efficient, effective, and enhance the patient and VMO experience. The manager will be responsible for staff supervision, financial management, scheduling, compliance, and the overall smooth running of the Administration and outpatient departments.
Key Responsibilities- Manage day-to-day operations of the hospital’s consulting suites, reception, medical records, and outpatient appointments.
- Supervise administrative staff and ensure professional development and training.
- Coordinate patient scheduling to optimise practitioner availability and patient care.
- Oversee billing processes, insurance claims, and other financial transactions.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient data.
- Implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and patient/VMO satisfaction.
- Liaise with healthcare professionals including doctors, nurses and therapists, to ensure coordinated care.
- Prepare reports on administrative and outpatient services performance for hospital management.
- Proven experience in healthcare administration or practice management.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in healthcare IT systems (Bluechip/Medical Director) and office software.
- Immunisation and vaccinations in accordance with infection prevention and control requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or related field.
- Experience in mental health services administration.
- Knowledge of medical billing and coding.
