About the role
We are seeking an experienced Administration Assistantto join our Administration team at The Bays Hospital in Mornington. This is a permanent part time role working 45 hrs per fortnight (0.6 EFT). Youwill be required to work morning, afternoon and/or evenings shifts on a rotating roster between 6.30am - 8pm Monday – Friday and 6.30am – 4pm on weekends.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
- Customer centric approach to all interactions – THE FACE OF THE BAYS
- Meeting and directing visitors
- Operate the main switchboard promptly in a professional manner
- Administration for any Pre-bookings, Admissions and Discharges into E-pas
- Prepare unplanned medical admissions by completing the eligibility checks, print sufficient labels, claim form and wrist band.
- Prepare and review the out of pocket expenses for patient to settle account on discharge
- Liaising with a diverse range of customers including patients and their family members, doctors, practice managers and a multi-disciplinary team of both clinical and non-clinical staff
About you
We would love to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience:
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional, warm and welcoming style
- Previous experience in a hospital or medical setting essential
- Proven ability to multi-task and excellent problem solving skills
- Certificate in Medical terminology (desirable)
- Proficient with the MS Office Suite and experience with patient management software desirable
