You will be working for a NSW government agency within the health sector.
Your new role
Transcribe histopathology voice files into Word using voice transcription software and Dictaphone with at least 95% accuracy and a typing speed of 50-60wpm.
Type cytopathology macroscopic descriptions into the laboratory information system, ensuring accuracy of clinical information and macroscopic descriptions
Provide a high level of customer service to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring interactions are professional, friendly and expedient.
Be proficient in using the laboratory information system and voice recognition system.
Ensure currency of skills in the following areas: front reception, management of phone enquiries, transcription, referrals, meetings, filing and faxing of results.
Provide high-level administrative support to the department as required and file reports and correspondence and maintain records
What you'll need to succeed
- Well-developed administrative, organisational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in medical/pathology terminology and transcription.
- Proactive, pay close attention to detail and manage competing priorities.
You will be working for a reputable government organisation in a supportive environment. Contract durations are typically 3–6 months; Contracts often have the potential for extension. The pay-rate for this position will be $35ph+ super and will be based at Westmead. Apply now!
