About the role
We are presently accepting applications for the position of Medical Receptionist at our Allan Wolff Medical Centre located in Horsham. The role involves various responsibilities within a general practice setting, including appointment scheduling, patient interaction, account management, banking tasks, scanning documents, managing supplies, and general reception duties.
We currently have two full-time parental leave positions available until June/July 2025. However, we are open to considering part-time arrangements for eligible candidates. The working hours are Monday to Friday. Ideally, we aim to initiate the handover period and training process starting from May.
Skills and experience
Essential:
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
- Pleasant and courteous telephone manner
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Demonstrated advanced computer literacy skills including Microsoft Office Suite and willingness to be trained in the specific programs required.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise effective, use initiative and maintain accurate records.
- Well-developed time management and work process skills
- Medical Reception experience
- Excellent customer service skills
Desirable:
- Recent clerical experience in a similar role (medical reception)
- Accounts knowledge / experience
