The Carer Gateway program provides support to unpaid carers in selectability’s footprint. Our focus is on providing services to ensure that carers have the emotional resilience and wellbeing to continue to provide the best care possible. We have a range of initiatives and support available to carers including carer respite (planned & emergency), individual and group counselling, carer training – through selectability Training and NDIS assistance and advice.
About the roleAs an Administration Officer working in the Carer Gateway program reporting to the Carer Coordinator, you will assist in the delivery of the program. The Administration Officer will be responsible for guiding carers through the intake process with empathy and professionalism, ensuring they understand and can access the full range of services selectability provide. While meeting monthly KPIs you will also complete carer registration assessments and planning activities, ensuring that each carer receives the personalised support they need. This is a block funded full time fixed term position.
This role will have a significant focus on facilitating care star conversations, managing intakes, registrations and other administrative tasks essential to the smooth delivery of the program.

You will also need:
- a current minimum P1 "C" class Queensland driver’s licence
- a currently registered, roadworthy, and fully comprehensive insured vehicle
- a Positive Notice Working with Children (blue card) (or the ability to obtain prior to commencement)
- a current yellow card exemption or a NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or the ability to obtain prior to commencement)
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety & You' completion certificate (visit https://training.ndiscommission.gov.au to access this free module). at completion of the course, you will be provided with a certificate of completion which you can forward to **@selectability.com.au
This is a full-time fixed term contract until 30 June 2025 (dependent on funding)
