About the role
Due to the growing requirements of the business, we are seeking to appoint a candidate in the position of Administration Officer for the business to assist in a broad range of duties.
This role provides a wide range of administration support across the Group, in particular to the finance and HSEQ functions. The successful candidate will work closely with the Manager - HSEQ & Training and the Finance Manager to assist with reviewing, updating and developing documents associated with the Health, Safety, Environmental, Quality and Training requirements of the Group as well as providing support to the accounts payable and payroll functions. This is a broad administrative role, that also has the ability to grow further into other areas such as tendering and marketing, and providing the support required to these functions.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Manager - HSEQ & Training to establish work priorities in order to keep the Company’s HSEQT system up to date
- Provide backup support to the Finance team including assisting with the accounts payable and payroll functions
- Maintaining document integrity through document control, organising and maintaining document registers and updating SharePoint on a regular basis
- Creating and formatting documents and improving those as necessary, going through the approval system as required
- Mail collection & distribution; organising couriers
- Ordering and control/ maintenance of office consumables
- Creating and issuing purchase orders as required
- General duties including answering phone calls, processing e-mail and written correspondence in a timely and accurate manner
What you’ll bring to the team
- Cert III Business Administration or equivalent (Desirable)
- High school Certificate (Minimum)
- 3 Years Minimum Experience in a reception / admin role
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft office packages
- Graphic design experience (Adobe InDesign preferred) - not essential
- Must be highly literate
- High level of organisational skills
- Knowledge of basic administrative functions of a business
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and people skills
- Strong Office 365 skills including data entry with excellent accuracy
- Ability to handle stress and demands of change
