About your opportunity
The opportunity to provide administrative support to the staff and consumers of the Magnetic Island Health Service.
Employment Term
Permanent part-time / 62.5 hours p.f.
Skills and experience:
- Communicate effectively in both written and oral forms, displaying confidentiality, sensitivity, understanding, diplomacy and discretion in dealing with the public and other staff members.
- Exercise discretion whilst maintaining high levels of confidentiality with a commitment to client service.
- Maintain the accuracy and integrity of records by utilising approved record management systems and accurate data entry.
- Provide high standard of administrative support service including: accounts/in-patient billing, goods receipting, requisitioning, banking, filing, mailing, photocopying, word processing, spreadsheets, and any other duties as required.
- Demonstrate high level of communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to liaise, consult and negotiate with a diverse range of stakeholder to build and maintain positive relationships.
- Be a productive team member and to work autonomously and harmoniously with minimal supervision within a multi-disciplinary team environment.
- Attend and take minutes and actively participate in regular staff meetings as required.
- On call: Appointees may be required to participate in an on-call roster.
- Drivers Licence: This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate license endorsement to operate this vehicle is required.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
