Administration Officer - Orygen @ Home

Your new team Orygen Specialist Program provides mental health services to young people aged 15-25 and their families/carers in Melbourne's northwest and western suburbs.

The Orygen @ Home is an addition to the acute services provided at Orygen. Access to care is provided 24-hours, 7-days per week by a multidisciplinary team of professionals completing shift work rosters ensuring comprehensive, collaborative and coordinated care.

Your new role:

  • Assist in ensuring all legal documentation is complete and accurate and forwarded when necessary to the appropriate coordinator within the area mental health service
  • Data entry in an accurate and timely manner
  • Use the state-wide mental health, hospital and local information management systems efficiently and appropriately
  • Ensure reconciliation between systems are in accordance with network policy
  • Maintain storage areas ensuring adequate supplies of approved forms are available

About You:

You will have initiative, a commitment to excellence, analytical and problem-solving skills, an ability to think conceptually as well as creatively, and the capacity and aptitude to. You have highly developed customer service and interpersonal skills, as well as:

  • Demonstrated clerical experience and administrative skills in the public health sector or similar
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and experience with medical record systems (CMI, iPM, Epic)
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise, manage and respond flexibly to a variety of tasks
  • Concise written and verbal communication skills, including professional telephone manner
