About the BDRI:
The Bio-Dynamic Research Institute (BDRI) is an Organic and Bio-Dynamic Certifying Body working with farmers and producers across Australia. The Bio-Dynamic Research Institute is a not-for-profit company which was founded in 1957.
What you will be doing:
This role is the communications hub of the institute and is critical to keeping the team, our certified farmers and operators working in concert.
As well as being the first point of contact for farmers and certified operators, you will assist the Compliance manager by providing fantastic support.
You will be organising and running the administration of the Office in a manner that meets compliance to the National Standards for Organic and Biodynamic Farming (NS) , the DAFF Administrative Arrangements for approved arrangements and ISO 17065.
Some duties include:
- Compliance/ inspection report data entry
- Filing and record keeping as per compliance requirements
- Managing phone and email communications and queries
- Maintaining registers.
- Assisting with the Organic Produce Certificates.
- Making travel arrangements for inspectors and/or compliance manager.
- Light bookkeeping (data entry and invoice generation on QuickBooks)
You will report directly to the Compliance Manager
What we're looking for:
- Prior experience in office management or a similar role (preferred).
- Interest in or familiarity with compliance & auditing
- An excellent eye for detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Warm and confident manner with an ability to effectively communicate with a broad range of stake holders.
- Highly developed organisational skills with the ability to multitask with efficiency in your approach.
- An ability to manage multiple priorities at once.
- Tech savvy and comfortable using multiple software programs. We currently use Quickbooks, FileMaker and MS Office package (SharePoint, TEAMS, Word, Excel etc).
- A willingness and ability to be trained to help with the Compliance aspects of the role.
