Public Sector People are currently recruiting for an Administration Officer to join Logan City Council. Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join this busy department to provide high level administration support.
Duties will include:
- Provide high levels of administration support to the team and all senior managers.
- Data entry and maintenance of all information into the council’s corporate computer system.
- Preparation and updating of spreadsheets and registers in the corporate computer system as required for senior officers of the branch.
- Update statistics for functional areas of the branch as requested by senior officers.
- Undertake any other duties as are reasonably within the limits of the employee's skills, competence and training.
Skills required:
- Proficient in the use of standard computer applications with practical experience in the use of databases.
- Deliver strong verbal communication skills, in particular communicating effectively with internal and external customers.
- Self-motivated and demonstrate an ability to deal with sensitive information accordingly.
- Possess the ability to work as a team member through active involvement in the pursuit of team objectives.
- Demonstrate effective written communication skills, in particular the ability to draft accurate and concise business letters, memos and reports.
- Maintain high level attention to detail to ensure that the work produced is accurate.
- Have the ability to consistently meet deadlines.
