Adelaide Day Surgery is a free-standing day surgery, which provides operating room facilities for Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, Plastics, Reconstructive and Cosmetic Surgery, Paediatric Dental and Maxillofacial Surgery.

We are seeking an Medical Administrator/Receptionist Trainee to join our team on a full-time basis with an immediate start. Reporting to the Administration Manager, you will deliver quality customer service to our patients and participating specialists. We are seeking availability Monday-Friday with varying shifts between 6am-6pm.
About the Opportunity
Tasks will include, but are not limited to:
- Reception duties and various administration tasks
- Meeting and greeting clients into the office providing first class customer service
- Printing and scanning documents
- Distribute and store correspondence (e.g., letters, emails, and packages)
- Assist with medical billing, coding, and claims submission, ensuring compliance with relevant standards
- Willingness to undertake training in the operations of our online Hospital Management Software
- Participate in ongoing training to stay updated with health care regulation, office policies, and technologies.
- Proficiency in utilising and navigating patient monitoring software (FYDO)
The successful applicant will demonstrate:
- Strong Interpersonal skills
- Proficient in written and verbal communication skills
- High level attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Thorough computer literacy and typing skills
- Availability for flexible hours, including early and late shifts
- Possession of a Working with Children Clearance or Department of Communities and Social Inclusion (DCSI) Child-Related Employment Screening (or willingness to obtain)
- Possession of Police Clearance or National Crime Check (or willingness to obtain)
