About the role
This varied role will be an “office all rounder” and an essential part of our business operations. This role is responsible for providing administrative support to several functions in the business.
A typical day will include
- Work collaboratively with our transport partners to ensure all relevant documents have been forwarded to ensure minimal delays. Documents include permits, invoices, manufacturer declarations.
- Update supplier orders ensuring that all tracking information is correct and up to date.
- Follow up on supplier orders to ensure orders arrive on time.
- Arrange replacements or following up on incorrect items.
- Assist with permit applications and investigate control statuses for newly created items.
- Assist on large shipment days.
- Assist with unpacking of large orders or shipments
- Checking items, adding lot numbers and expiry dates to receipting paperwork
- Assist with checking off packed orders
- Assist with receipting.
- Assist with filing.
- Assist with labelling, creating labels
- Assist with stock take.
- General warehouse or office backup to cover leave
About you
Are you passionate about providing support and being the office “go-to”? Do you enjoy working in a small team, like the challenge of a fast-paced business and having fun? Well, this is the role for you!
You are a time management wizard and absolutely love a challenge. You enjoy being responsible for a number of various tasks, driven by client and team satisfaction and passionate about working within a team. You are able to build relationships well with clients, team members and other relevant parties.
You have extensive experience working within a customer service role and understand the importance of excellent communication skills. You have great excel skills and know your way around computer systems. You enjoy working with a team but also have the ability to work independently.
Ideally, you have worked within a similar industry and have a good understanding of laboratory equipment or products. However, if this is a new industry for you, don't worry there is plenty of training provided!
